Ryan is a designer, biologist and inventor with numerous patents and patents pending to his name. He operates and innovates at the intersection of biologically-inspired design, entrepreneurship, engineering, materials and systems. As the founder of Threshold Theory, he uses a physics-first approach to understand the world and develop a wide range of ideas, concepts and technologies, from new wind turbine technology to new equations that describe fluidic phenomenon. Recently, Ryan was nominated as a Forbes 30 under 30 in Energy, and his experiences are spawning books, interviews with publications like the Economist, and a series of talks that he has given to people of all ages, via podcasts, in person, and virtually to groups like Engineers Without Borders.

Bryan is an experienced finance professional who has led and delivered complex projects with budgets over $100 million and been involved with numerous start-ups in larger corporate and small business settings. Bryan is currently leading all financing activities for Biome in his role as Managing Partner of Quest Partners. Bryan is also the Head of Finance for Biome with responsibility for business analysis, accounting, financial reporting, negotiations and contracting. Rebecca is a sustainable business specialist who has been co-creating strategies to address the climate crisis with international clients for 15+ years. A skilled strategic designer, innovator and systems thinker, she is Founder of eco-communications and design agency Black Current, Co-Founder of DEI championing nonprofit Women in Renewable Energy WiRE, and Director at TREC Renewable Energy incubator. A regular guest lecturer at universities and colleges about the intersection of sustainability, innovation and design, Rebecca holds a Master of Environmental Studies specializing in Business & Sustainability (York University), and a Master of Design in Strategic Foresight & Innovation (OCADU).

Dirk is s a seasoned expert in the field of composites and wind turbine blade manufacturing, currently serving as the Manufacturing Lead at Biome Renewables. With over 25 years of experience, Dirk Jan has established himself as a global authority in advanced manufacturing technology for rotor blades.
Before joining Biome Renewables, Dirk Jan was the head of advanced manufacturing technology for rotor blades at GE, where he was responsible for global technology transfer and development. He played a pivotal role in initiating new manufacturing plants and outsourcing relationships across China, Brazil, the US, and Europe. Additionally, he contributed to the development of new rotor blade designs in collaboration with teams in Germany and the US.
As the co-founder of Pontis Engineering, Dirk Jan was instrumental in the manufacturing development of some of the largest rotor blades in the world, working closely with leading windturbine OEM’s. His leadership and innovative approach have significantly advanced the field of wind energy technology.
At Biome Renewables, Dirk Jan continues to lead the development of advanced blade manufacturing, overseeing R&D initiatives, outsourcing, and procurement. His extensive experience and dedication to innovation make him a key player in the renewable energy sector.

He is also Chair of the Ivey Alumni Network, Chair of CircuitMeter Inc. and a member of the Young Presidents’ Organization (YPO). He also serves as a board member of BUILD TORONTO.

As the founder and former CEO of Algorithmics Incorporated, Ron grew it organically from a start-up to the world’s largest enterprise risk-management software company, with offices in fifteen countries, over 70% of the world's top 100 banks as clients, with consistent recognition as one of Canada’s 50 best managed companies. Prior to this, he had a distinguished ten-year academic career at Yale University where he was cross-appointed in Computer Sciences and Yale School of Management. He is the Founder and CEO of Zerofootprint, a clean-tech software and services company, for which he recently received a Green Toronto Award from the City of Toronto. Ron is the author of three books and received a Certificate of Recognition, Champion of Green from the Government of Ontario.
